Yalda Hakim

Yalda is presenting the world with Yalda Hakim on Sky News since 2023. She reports live from the world's most important events, including the Israel-Gaza border, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Darfur and Iraq. An award-winning BBC international correspondent and documentary maker, she has spent two decades reporting from around the world. She has interviewed some of the world's most prominent politicians, including Ukrainian President Zelensky, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former US President Bill Clinton, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani. Born in Afghanistan, she is the founder of the Yalda Hakim Foundation, which provides scholarships to enable Afghan girls to receive an education.
