Senator Crystal Asige

Senator Crystal Asige is a renowned advocate for diversity and inclusion, a 2024 TIME 100 Next honoree, named among the Top 100 Kenyans in 2024 and a Kenyan Top 40 Under 40 winner. She is Nominated to the 4th Senate in the 13th Parliament of Kenya to represent persons with disabilities and Special Interest Groups. As a disability rights champion, inclusive mobility expert, accessibility auditor, and award-winning musician, she leverages her diverse background to promote equitable rights and opportunities. Senator Asige is the Secretary General of the Kenya Disabled Parliamentarians Association and Chairperson for Persons with Disabilities in the Kenya Women Parliamentary Association. Known by her following as the 4th Senate’s VIP (Visually Impaired Parliamentarian), she holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the West of England, Bristol, and has experience with international media such as BBC Bristol.
