Peter Fischer

Peter Fischer is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fischer Reinach AG, a family business founded in 1842. He is the sixth generation to manage the company, which serves the global hardware, electrical, automotive and construction supply industries. Fischer Reinach employs 400 people in Switzerland and Germany and exports 95 per cent of the 8 billion parts it produces each year. Peter Fischer is an advocate of the dual education system. After completing a banking apprenticeship, he studied business administration and held management positions in Switzerland and abroad before joining the family business. Peter Fischer is a member of the Board of Directors of several Swiss industrial companies as well as a member of the Executive Committee of Swissmem and the Economic Advisory Board of the Swiss National Bank.
