Lia Wälti

Lia Joëlle Wälti has been playing for English giants Arsenal Women FC in London since the 2018/19 season. The exceptional player has been an integral part of the Swiss national team since 2012 and has been captain since 2019. With 118 caps to her name, she has established herself in the national team and has played in numerous World Cups and European Championships.

Off the pitch, Lia Wälti is a nature lover and avid traveller with a wide range of interests. She is committed to issues such as environmental protection, sustainability and women's empowerment. Alongside her football career, the qualified office administrator is studying sports management at the FFHS Zurich and will begin training as a football coach in 2020.
