Norwegian adventurer and polar explorer

Karen Kyllesø is a Norwegian adventurer and polar explorer born in 2003. The 13th of January this year she became the youngest person to ever ski solo and unsupported to the South Pole, 21 year old. With a Norwegian upbringing, Karen started exploring the outdoors from an early age. After discovering the polar regions while crossing Greenland as the youngest woman in history in 2018, she has spent a lot of time training and preparing for new big goals. After high school Karen put her further education on hold to work on her expedition CV, to be able to get a permit for a solo expedition in Antarctica. In total it took six years of planning and preparations, and 54 days of full focus and pure adventure to reach the pole. She will tell a story of big dreams, hard work and great achievements.
