Christian Rüegg

Christian Rüegg represents the PSI on numerous international committees for large-scale research facilities and in important cantonal/national initiatives to promote innovation, such as Switzerland Innovation. He studied physics at ETH Zurich and obtained his doctorate in 2005 at the Laboratory for Neutron Scattering at ETH Zurich and at PSI. From 2005 to 2011 he worked at the London Centre for Nanotechnology at University College London (UCL) and Imperial College London. He was a Royal Society University Research Fellow and Assistant and Associate Professor at UCL. From 2011 to 2016, Christian Rüegg was Head of the Laboratory for Neutron Scattering and Imaging in the Neutrons and Muons Research Division at PSI, which he headed from 2017 to 2020.
