Antje Kanngiesser

Antje Kanngiesser has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Alpiq Group since March 2021. She is a proven expert in the energy industry. For more than 20 years, she has worked in various management positions along the entire value chain in industry and consulting to promote an innovative and sustainable energy supply. Kanngiesser specialises in the strategic realignment and consistent transformation of business models and companies. Humour, value-based modern leadership, consistent cross-team collaboration and inclusion of diversity with a passion for performance and success are her tools.  

She fosters a visionary and value-based modern leadership culture with a passion for performance and success. She creates a culture that encourages women to take management responsibility and pushes for consistent cross-team collaboration with a good portion of humour and joy. Antje Kanngiesser has both Swiss and German citizenship, speaks fluent German, French and English, and lives with her husband and two children in the canton of Fribourg. In March 2025, Antje Kanngiesser was honoured as the Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 at this year’s SEF.WomenAward.
