The ETH Zurich spin-off Sevensense Robotics builds the eyes and brains for autonomous mobile robots. Gregory Hitz and his team help vehicle manufacturers in logistics and service robotics to answer three fundamental questions: Where are the robots right now? Where shall they go next? And how do they get there? Up until now, the vast majority of warehouse and factory processes could not benefit from the help of autonomous robots, since they lack the brain power to work in complex operating environments. This is where Sevensense comes. The innovative start-up provides the required intelligence. Cameras perceive the surrounding environment, and Sevensense’s powerful AI algorithms reliably localize and navigate the robots. This enables robots with a Sevensense brain to work fully autonomous. Thanks to Sevensense, any vehicle manufacturer can become a provider of intelligent robots and shape the automation revolution of the 21st century.
