More than 400 scientists and engineers with expertise in biology, chemistry, physics, electronics, mathematics, computer programing and statistics work on the development and the scientific assessment of novels products which have the potential to be less harmful than cigarettes. While Philip Morris International’s Research & Development Center is modern and has are state-of-the art equipment, the company also works hand in hand with dozens of Swiss small and medium companies which provide a vital know-how on innovation.
