Artiria Medical
A stroke can alter a person's life in an instant. Artiria Medical is pioneering microrobotic technologies that improve neurosurgeons' precision and control, revolutionising stroke treatment.
Founded in Geneva in 2019, the company set out with a clear mission: to make minimally invasive procedures safer and more efficient. Guillaume Petit-Pierre and Marc Boers combined their medtech expertise with state-of-the-art technology to develop SmartGUIDE – a microrobotic guidewire with a steerable tip just one-third of a millimetre in diameter. This innovation enables precise navigation to brain clots or aneurysms with minimal risk, improving patient outcomes.
With FDA approval in the US and successful treatments across North America, Artiria Medical is expanding rapidly. Clinical trials are underway in Europe and the team is already developing the next generation of neurovascular systems, integrating robotics and AI to enhance surgical precision – paving the way for remote-controlled interventions in the future.
